Book of condolences

Book is now open at the stadium and an online version is available on the clubs website

When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.

We all dream, but rarely do they come true. In making our dreams a reality, you gave fans of smaller clubs everywhere something we can all relate to, belief. I guess we all believe that little bit more now.

Keep dreaming, and sleep well.

We should all be so grateful-- Quite simply :-
He gave us the time of our lives.

Sad.

Nice article

On a separate note did any of you Leicester fans see the Sun published footage of the helicopter taking off and then spiraling out of control?

Is it me or was publishing that just totally inappropriate?

There's been a few things that I've seen upsetting people, palmers. Videos, reported off-camera-but-on-microphone stupid comments attributed to Dan Roan, Twitter trolls, Guardian columnists using the event to virtue signal, Sky treating the whole event like transfer deadline day, and others.

Frankly, I'm trying to ignore it all. I can understand some of my fellow fans getting angry about such things, given some would want to be angry right now to let it all out, but with what happened there isn't really anyone or anything to be angry with. Personally, it's hard to say what my feelings are. Something in the region of just simply sad. I haven't really known what to say about it all, and at the stadium display it felt like anything I said might somehow come out wrong. There were so many people there last night, but it was very quiet. You could only really hear the cars going by.

Palmers - in general the response from other club, fans and people around the world has been touching and supportive. I’m choosing to focus on that.

With such a spotlight on this situation, sadly there will always be an element of negativity and insensitive reporting. But that has been very small in comparison.

I've been trying to articulate some kind of response since the horrific news. The condolence book has given me an opportunity which I thought I would share:

Thank you for everything you did for Leicester City Football Club, the city and the wider Leicestershire community.

From the moment you chose to invest in our wonderful club, you were more than any supporter could have hoped for. From the very beginning, your ambition and drive for our club helped to inspire us to believe that we could be more than just an average club.

Your investment helped our club to reach the Premier League again after many years outside of the top division, and eventually led to the greatest miracle in sporting history when we won the Premier League title. Those days after our victory will live forever in all LCFC supporters hearts, as will those glorious nights in the Champions League the following season.

I hope that you understood how much fans respect you and the great sense of gratitude we have for you and your family for everything you did. The fans didn't love you because you bought free gifts - they love you because it showed you care.

We will always miss you, Vichai. Thank you for the memories.

Brilliant and poignent line Foxello. Thanks for sharing. It would be nice if others feel they can too.

Vichai. You were the perfect model of a football club owner; none better, none even remotely close to matching you. An absolute gent, your vision took us to heights beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you so much for that.

Top. We will support you in making our club the legacy to the great man that was your father. Best wishes at what must be a dreadful time for you and your family.
