Celtic 2 - 1 RB Leipzig

Fantastic performance and result against a very very good team last night.

After being battered for the first 10 minutes we managed to nick a goal with our first attack then for the rest of the first half I thought we were excellent, Edouard was causing mayhem.

Thought first 15 minutes of the second half they were brilliant we couldn't get out, Mulumbu was stripped and ready to replace I think maybe Christie and we got a foot hold in the game and were the better team when they equalised, to score 11 seconds later is a testament to the players and the confidence theyre playing with just now.

Few hairy moments after that but felt we just about deserved it overall.

Ratings -

Gordon (6) - Kicking rubbish, handling a lot better than usual, no chance with the goal.

Lustig (4) - Worst player on the park, they should've scored 2 or 3 because of him.

Boyata (8) - Got to admire the way he's turned it round, he's a class act and will leave with my blessing in January for £5/6m hopefully.

Benkovic (8) - Does he ever give the ball away? what a player, a class act.

Tierney (9) - Man of the match for me, he's been terrific all season, can't praise him enough.

McGregor (8.5) - Second half he was quality, chased everything down, go us out of a few tight situations, still bursting a gut in the 93rd minute getting us up the park.

Christie (8) - Think he was maybe gonny get whipped off for Mulumbu thank god he didn't, great composure for the goal and looks every inch a Celtic player.

Rogic (7) - Should've buried the chance at 1-0, not as effective as usual but still showed moments of class and lasted the 90 well

Forrest (8) - Turning in to one of if not our main man, terrific for the first goal and just continues to look a threat whenever he gets the ball.

Sinclair (5) - Harsh maybe but I thought he looked out his depth for large spells, looks like hes playing with zero confidence, have no ides what he was trying to do when he went through on goal, did however do well for the winner.

Edouard (8.5) - Similar performance to the home qualifier v Rosenborg, unplayable at times, if he could get a more consistent first touch he'd be worth double what we paid.


Quickly add Mulumbu looked miles off the pace when he came on and nearly cost us.
