Dundee inspires Frankenstein

On the OP, it completely makes sense and is a good social commentary on people's attitudes towards Dundee.

People see the magnificent yet different Dundonians as monsters, yet, as the story unfolds, we find the real monster is in fact Dr Frankenstein himself while the monster (Dundonians) is the only one with any real grasp of humanity.

So what Shelley was trying to say was that weegies are up themselves, or something like that anyway.

Perhaps the script writers for The Hills Have Eyes and Deliverance got their inspiration from life in Dundee.Seems perfectly plausible.
