La Liga is likely to decline until a new government is elected.

The tax situation there is off-putting for the 'best' players, and we've seen two of its biggest stars in Neymar and Ronaldo leave in recent years with no-one large coming in.

Football is cyclical. I think La Liga has had its spell of success for the time being. I can see English clubs having more success in Europe in the short term. Just look at the league tables; all the top 4 PL clubs currently have more points than Barcelona in the same number of games.

No one large coming in? Have you see the Brits going to Spain in summer? Large enough?

Are Real Madrid La Liga's most successful ever team?

If so then maybe, yes

I’m sure I read all this tripe last year when Madrid were struggling and Barca were a shadow of themselves and then both Madrid clubs ended up winning European trophies.

Just shows you how stupid Man Utd were to sell Ronaldo for £80m. I even said at the time selling him for £120m would have been a bargain for RM.

Not looking good for any of the top Liga sides right now.

As a caveat, though, all you really have to do up until the New Year-February time is to make sure you don't fall out of contention.

That's when the pressure starts to get turned up and teams need to hit their best form.
