A question to the Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi fans:
Do you think your teams succeed because, or in spite of, your respective governing bodies?
A lot is written about the respective boards, but I wanted to gauge the feeling from you guys.
I'm not looking for a rise from you, rather your honest opinion about how cricket is run in your own countries, and how things could be improved maybe.
Please keep the comments sensible, as anything that appears to be wummery or baiting will be removed.
Thanks.

As a pakistani fan, Pakistan cricket board is hopeless! whatever success pakistan has been able to achieve is due to ample availability of raw talent on the streets here.
PCB is nothing at polishing this raw talent.
Its nothing at making players to learn discipline as they come from all sort of backgrounds, infact it never sets the example of being a disciplined body that players would look to follow.
The involvement of politics messes things up more.

Now the political issue is one I have seen raider before. I was under the impression that political influence was prohibited by the ICC, clearly fault lies with them as much as any national body if this is the case.

If a national board is not sincere towards itself, there is very little that ICC could do about it.

Cricket Boards should be outsourced, if a better option is abroad then why not.

"all boards are the same"
No, they really aren't. Let me give you a pretty simple example
- The PCB is institutionally corrupt.
- The ECB is not.
Politics is the problem but not the reasons people mentioned. Take Pakistan, the problem is the PCB deflect the obvious charges against them by feeding the public nationalist conspiracies against racist foreigners. etc.
This is great, but what does it actually do for Pak cricket fans? A joke team whose best players are banned
