Higuain-Morata Swap Deal

I hope this does not happen, as much as I want Morata out of the club, I do not want Higuain in return.

I know he played under Sarri for Napoli but he's like 31 now and he'll be useful for like 1 season.

He could be useful for 1 game and that would be an upgrade on Morata.

No fence sitting here. Morata should leave (now or in the summer) but straight swap for Higuain isn't the answer.

With our striker situation the answer has to be more tangible then, 'well he's better than Morata'. You end up with other Morata's thinking like that.

Advocate so you'd prefer we wait until the summer to get the right guy then ?

Maybe Higuain is good if it's a 6 month loan deal

Short term fix but I reckon he'll struggle to adjust to the league, he's put on a lot of weight and isn't the sharpest

I prefer we get the right guy which is more likely in the summer. There's too many question marks over Higuain, coming to a new league at his age, well renowned flat track bully even in his prime, not in the best of form at the moment.... it's got flop written all over it. Good player, but wouldn't be a good signing

So you would rather stick with rubbish that you know rather than gamble for a chance that maybe it works...

Crazy

Morata has got to go, it doesn't work and I'd rather have someone who wants to be here than someone who I don't know if they do or don't

There's never gonna be a 'right guy'. Chelsea will always be beaten to the premium signings by Man City, Real Madrid, PSG etc. If we want a top striker, we're gonna have to take a gamble.

Every transfer is a gamble to a certain extent, it's about minimizing the risk as much as possible. Even though I'm very wary of him I'd rather gamble on Piatek than Higuain cos at least he's young and would come to the club in-form.
