We have never won a game of football with Henderson and Lovren in the side, certainly against a side the calibre of City.
We'll probably finish below Everton.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Somebody disagrees with me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha I'm not upset it's just that you talk so much shiiiiiiit.
We've just had our best December on record with Henderson and Lovren playing the majority of those wins. Lose by the odd goal away at City and they're a problem.
Your assessment of Lovren's yellow is simply clueless too.
Are there better players in world football? Yes, but everytime we win it's in spite of them and everytime we lose it's because of them which is reactionary nonsense.
Henderson had better passing stats and made more tackles than both Milner and Wij which is incredibly important against City.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Filter me then you miserable kant. All you ever do is moan and whine about other posters moaning and whining which is just facking tiresome.
My issue with Lovren is he isn't as good as he thinks he is. Which he proves in so many games. He always goes for last minute aggressive tackles which are rash and often mistimed. A player that accepts their limitations doesn't do that and all this bullcrap he spouts in the media about being the best defender in the world and us going unbeaten is exactly the sort of sheite I hate coming out of one of our players. Confidence is fine, arrogance is not and he has no reason to be so bloody arrogant.
Also I'll give Henderson credit when he does play well but we have better players than him who should start ahead of him. Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Keita, Milner all bring more to our game than him so it's frustrating when he starts.

Fabinho has been very good, but he’s also been partial to the odd dangerously misplaced pass in our own half. So maybe Klopp thought it was a risk, knowing how hard City would press us???
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I suspect you're right. Twice lately he's given cheap posession away leading to chances. He's coming on well though and by seasons end should be fresh and up to speed. I don't think he matches the intensity of the side atm.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was definitely the reason Klopp didn't start him. He's still getting used to that and when pressed he's caused some issues, this season. Thought he was ready though, which he showed against Arsenal but I can understand Klopp's thinking.

Milner and Wij did start. I’ve already given a reason why Fabinho maybe didn’t start, and Keita plays a completely different role to Henderson, and Keita himself hasnt established himself enough yet to be an instant starter. He’s still settling in imo.

Aside of that not being true it sounds like you should be the one that filters me. Calling me miserable when I'm asking you to be more positive, because you're being negative, is stupid.

If it's what he says that is the problem then I really don't know what to say.

Well not tonight. There is a reason he starts. He will continue to start games for the rest of the season and will do so as captain to boot. I told you this ages ago and guess what? He starts games.

I'm gonna be go left field here but I thought Henderson was very good tonight. I would have taken him off later in the game, had Milner not been just back from injury, when Fabinho came on, to add more attacking intent and spark but he had a good game. Passed the ball well, broke up attacks, helped the defence out and was really disciplined.

Yeah, he was fine. He is what he is, a solid player. I think some people are still expecting him to be something he never has been, some sort of Zidane/Cruyff/Gerrard hybrid. Bit daft really.

In general, if Klopp starts one player over another, I put a thumb up and assume he knows more than me.
Because although I'm an arrogant, know it all tw@t, I'm not that much of a know it all tw@t to assume otherwise.

Klopp wanted a very combative midfield which is why he went with those three.
Very fine margins in that game for sure, so you can't say anyone got it wrong.
The hard work is now getting this out of the heads.
Lovren is like one of those that just cannot keep focused. Once the final whistle blows its time to focus on the next game and ONLY the next game.

A game of fine margins. Kompany sees red it's a different game. They took their chances we didn't. 1 point behind a month ago, 4 ahead now with City out of the way. All of us would have taken that in August never mind a month ago. Now let's watch Spurs fans have a deluded meltdown 😋
