The end of JM-JH-GW!

I think this has once again showed that the midfield of Milner, Hendo and Gini just doesn’t work and are all too similar.

They’ve played in all the big games this season and we’ve had some poor performances and results, PSG 2-1 were really below par and some others aswell.

Hopefully Fabinho and Keita will get to play in the bigger games now they are adjusted to the way we play.

Also Dejan Lovren needs a long hard look at himself tonight. He is mentally weak and never learns from his mistakes. Brainless would be a good word to use for him.

I just think city wanted it more, with a bit luck we could if won that game , I wouldn’t blame any of players to TBF , it’s over next game on

Totally agree. That 3 hasnt worked. Huge gap between midfield and attack.

Fernandinho had a field day mopping up

I honestly think none of our players was at the races tonight. The tempo was far too slow.

I don't think that was the players fault I think Klopp has told them to be ultra cautious which is what he did in the home game against city as well.

It was a mistake then and it was a mistake again tonight. We should have played our own game and took them to the cleaners.

The good thing is they can't affect us again this season and we have a few easy games to get full confidence back before we play a top team again.

Still favourites for the league...…

Klopp's weakness is going for Hendo and Milner as his first choice midfield for big games, usually with Windy. Those two should never play together there - they're so mediocre. How many touches does Hendo need to control a ball? The difference Fab made when he came on said it all. As for Lovren for Christ's sake.

The best team won: City's to lose now, with 17 games left. Very disappointed that we didn't go for a win from the off, and really we only went at them after the hour mark when Fab came on.

No complaints, but have to say that the excuse the pundits gave for Kompany not being sent off was fecking bizarre - apparently he's 'Not like that'. Suppose Mane must be a frequent head kicker then...

I wish I shared that optimism. I think there are some very awkward fixtures coming up and now that we’ve lost, there’ll be no doubt people waiting for the extended wobble.

People can wait for whatever they want, doesn't affect our play.

Nah pretty sure we're still 4 points ahead, it's still ours to lose, we're still favourites.

Great teams in the past have lost 12 points lead.

If City win their tough games then City will win the league.

We have to win 16 of the last 17 games to be sure. I don't think so. Sorry to be pessimistic, but we did this two seasons ago after a great December: Ford got injured, Mane went to Africa for a month and January was a disaster. I just see us dropping four more points than City over the remaining game.

My whine is not that we got beat though, but that we didn't go out there to try and win in the first place. And when you play Hendo and Milner in the same midfield you are simply not going out to attack, imo.
