I’ve posted often about my bemusement re routine negativity among
Celtic fans.
My bemusement has now been replaced by a torpor of indifference.
Not all that long ago there was plenty of praise on here for the coach,
players, & Board.
Now, any successes we have are quickly forgotten, while setbacks are
recycled for weeks or months on end.
I’m aware of the RB and other player weak spots, & the failure to
address these.
I’m also aware of the fact that this is our most inconsistent season
start in many years.
But the general profile of our Club is one that every other fan
in Scotland envies.
Rodgers has so far won EVERY domestic trophy Celtic have competed in.
He has a Win Rate of just short of 70% and this includes top
Euro opposition.
More than Maley, McGrory, Cesar, Strachan.
And just 1% short of Stein and Lennon.
This season we have won the only Trophy up for grabs so far.
We are sitting Top with a game in hand.
We have scored more and conceded fewer than any other Club.
And there are some feisty clubs this season in the League.
We will still be in Europe in February after edging out the
#4 team in the Bundesliga.
As I’ve posted before – football isn’t mathematical or logical.
If it was no-one would go except nerds.
Teams are allowed to fvk up and have dips in form,
as are individual players.
Boards are allowed to fvk up in successive transfer windows, especially
since the very same people got so many others right in the recent past.
Teams with fewer resources are allowed to beat those with superior.
Hibs & Rangers etc should be allowed to beat us.
Just as we are allowed to beat Manu, Barca, and more recently Leipzig.
Don’t expect this to go down well, but I simply don’t even attempt to
read the doom & gloom threads, especially as there are so fvkin many of
them these days.

I've tried and failed to put the very same points over the past few days.
It is totally demoralising reading the same negative posts day after day. We as Celtic supporters are a right spoilt bunch of bassas. We seem to want football utopia....not tomorrow, but right now...
We celebrate money in the bank,
then criticise the board for not spending or not just throwing an extra 300k to get a player, whilst laughing at Rangers with 14 million debt!
Similarly we laud PL as doing a great job selling players for good money, then stick a knife in his back when he wont buy others for silly money.
We acknowledge we play in a poor league, yet want players our of our range.
It reminds me of a kid at Xmas getting twenty five presents then spitting the dummy cos they never got the one they wanted...
Rangers are throwing the kitchen sink at stopping ten in a row.
How much will Defoe's wages cost them?
How much will Davis wages cost?
They both have Zero sell on value, yet DK stated at their AGM that he has to spend money as it is increasing the value of the squad, speculating to accumulate he said....You couldn't make this schit up folks....
Remember, we laughed last year when they released their accounts, and Stevie G came out and said he would buy more players , cos what he had wasn't good enough...YES, the same 15 players that HE signed...and they are 14 million in debt... yet need MORE players... well fook me, did they win the euro millions when going for Defoe?
Make no mistake, they are sch!tting it...
They think they have the answer in Stevie Gerrard.
We know it is our form of the same players that have won us all these trophies and everything else since BR came in that is letting us down, nothing to do with any other team / manager in the league. We help the current crop of players out, get back on track and nothing matters at all. Nothing sweet nothing,
Defoe and Davis? These guys are 36 and 34 ffs... chances of injuries anyone?Hardly a BR signing...neither of them...never in a million years.
Despite the recent defeat, we are years in front of Rangers, the gap does exist still. A 36 year old and 34 year old (yes a supposedly box to box 34 year old midfielder - does that even exist?) isn't going to close the gap on us
Will be interesting to see how quick/slow their game is after new year.

Defoe was a goal machine not long ago and Davis is a midfield general, and although it is a gamble, they could be good for Rangers.
Rangers played Celtic off the park so are not light blue years behind an ageing average Celtic team.
Rangers have been average too, but they meet Mr G we are improving.
I agree fans are fickle, and Celtic with Arsenal fans do turn quickly on their team....but all fans do👍
I often have more fun chatting to mighty etc than bears, so it is all about the individual!

I post/read less and less on here as I find the level of utter drivel is through the roof - sad to say mostly from fellow Celts.
I'm either used to the same auld, or have filtered, the nonsense from the Gerz, but seeing it, from what comes across as whining self-entitled Celts, is just saddening, and I don't do stuff I don't enjoy.
Honestly, you and Pointy excluded, there is more more fun to be found on here from Berz the likes of Zach, Ath and even Escy these days. I also miss Curly's input...
Fitba fans are fickle as fvck, of course, but some of the shiite we see now is disgraceful - So what if we don't win the league? Yes, I want 10 in a row as much as anyone, but the point about getting it is it's supposed to be FVCKING DIFFICULT. That's what makes the previous 9iar accomplishments so FANTASTIC.
Yet, it seems for some, despite winning 7iar, despite being in poll for 8, and despite winning every single domestic trophy since BR has been in charge, some can still find something to get their wee panties in a knot at every bum in the road.

Grow the fcvk up or get back to playing with your action man & lego - fitba is a mans game.
