“He looked okay towards the end so he’ll be fit. He did have some problems but came through the last couple of sessions well."
“It was very good. We had four good days of training, so I think the boys enjoyed it. We put some principles down and they worked hard — they enjoy working hard."
“He’s (Pochettino) done a very good job. The speculation is there for a reason because he’s done well but it’s not my job to rate different managers. My focus is on me and my team."
“You get tested in every single game in the Premier League.
“But of course Sunday’s game is against a top, top side and if we want to get closer to them we need a good performance and a good result."
“He’s not bad is he? Fantastic goalscorer, one of the best in the world. From the outside he is a fantastic finisher. He never misses chances really so let’s make sure he doesn’t get any against us."
“He’s gone back to Argentina for a while with his injury so how long is a piece of rope, it was mentally important for him to get away and come back fresh again."
Is this your team now?
I think every single day and every game will get us closer and closer and we’ll get more of an understanding of how we want to play. The past five games haven’t been bad but there’s always things to work on, relationships, cohesion, so hopefully we’ll see a positive team.
“I read the news sometimes as well and the speculations around this club is amazing, incredible. Some players I’ve not even heard of have singed. I can’t comment on things like that but we’ve got (current) players we are in discussions with but that’s not down to me either."
Approach V Spurs
“You always adapt to any opponent, we play one of the best teams in the league, have to be aware of their strengths but we need to attack teams, that’s our strength as well. Going forward, attacking both as a team and the way we played, we won’t get as many chances to attack against these as we’ve had before so we’ve got to be ready for when we got hold of the ball and play well with it because Wembley is a decent sized pitch."
