His job is Safe

Leicester have told Claude Puel that his job is safe according to sources yesterday amidst growing unrest from both fans and some players. Mirror sport have reported that there is no appetite to change things at the King Power given the recent tragic events. A chairman is yet to be appointed at Leicester

There is also an understanding that Puel was given the task of overseeing a transition from an aging title winning squad to a team that focuses on developing young players. There is still a feeling that this is a long term project and that Leicester will be ready to push for Europe in 2-3 years as this group of very young players develops.

Thoughts? You heard it here first!

So theres no plan i can see a plan passing football with young team of interchangable players.
Hard to beat but counter attack at pace. Now its not happening consistanly but if you look at the games we lose how much is it down to individual errors or mistakes.
When we where two goals down did anyone think that the manager could motivate the players and get us three goals in the second half?
If the opinions expressed on here that the players don't want to play for him that goes right out the window because we would of lost by more goals.
There are players that are getting it and unfortunately the older players aren't.

Eh? You have been the main facilitator of suggestions that it’s about player power !?

I agree that it isn’t the players not wanting to play for him, more lack of fitness coming into the season and even more importantly no consistent core to our team or tactics.

Interchangeable only becomes a quality if it used effectively and works. It isn’t. It doesn’t. It shouldn’t be our priority

I have not its those who leaving standing on his own...."their behind you"
Fitness can't be an issue either look how they ran second half so over training then

That is poor, they should celebrate together. Makes me wonder if there is something not right in the relationship between Claude and his coaching team.

Everything isn’t right at the minute.

Puel’s relationship with his team
Puel’s relationship with the players
Puel’s tactics
Puel’s rotation
Puel’s relationship with the fans.

That can’t just be don’t to a few players or individual errors. There is something fundamentally wrong here.

I don’t think Puels relationship with all his players is a problem. It’s with one or two - if there was a breakdown between puel and the players then you wouldn’t have seen a response at half time against Wolves. It’s one or two (Vardy) who are not thriving under him

The relationship with the fans is pretty concerning. That’s one of his biggest problems right now

There seems to be a reoccurring thyme there...

That’s pretty much nailed it Blacksy.

All right, just for the moment anyway, cast aside all your formations, tactics, transfer windows, how many bloody defensive midfielders City are going to play. All that rubbish...

Attendances are pretty good and look to be around near capacity but with less than half of the season remaining, how many are not going to look forward to the following campaign and decide not to renew? How many in that ground have said they’ve seen enough I wonder? If they’ve nothing better to do with their lives, and they are willing to put themselves through the mill week in, week out then they’ll be there next season. Other than that the fans should vote with their feet and the club should then do something about it, seriously, because even I think the team looks a shambles at the best of times, and that’s just drawing a conclusion from watching them on the box.
