Guy in Belfast was beaten and stabbed to death in east Belfast this week after he crossed some blokes connected to the uvf in a fight last at a chippy!Started with his son allegedlygiving a uvf guy a dirty look in a bar...we have all done it.
Young guys in Glasgow batter each other in teams and in London they stab each other, while in Dublin gangs shoot each other!
Now, call me old fashioned, but what happened to the fair fight and once the opponent is down you end it...no stamping heids, knives or guns!
Am thinkin Shane, John Wayne and Clint here.....perhaps too romantic,,and it is film, but is the hardman gone from the scene now?
Not talking about thugs or bullies, but the local bloke who can handle himself and takes no schit!
The quiet guy in school, work or pub who minds his own business, but pick on him or those he knows....and fists fly!
Now, it is gangs on wan guy, knives and guns and if your opponent goes down, they try to kill or mame.
In the past, fights had standards....or am I trippin?

Some guys cannot back down, it's as simple as that.
The rest of us can control our emotions and realise that an assumed slight is not worth going to jail or hospital for.
I've been in court when I was young, and not as a Lawyer, and I vowed I'd never put myself in that precarious position ever again.
Fighting's for sports or pay per view or defending your family, not for looking hard in the pub.
