In my minds eye I can still see all the boys. And though I was only twelve and a half when it happened, I still feel sad when I think about it. They were my boyhood heroes.
It's good their memory is kept alive, I hope they will not be forgotten for a long time.

My dad stopped going after Munich it was too upsetting, he took me and my two older brothers to reserve games, central league games in those days, gonna get nostalgic now, but when we started going on our own, because my dad worked on the railway we got quarter fare passes, 6d return Heaton Chapel to Warwick rd, via Piccadilly & Oxford rd. 1s 3d in the Stretford end juniors, 6d a programme, total 2s 3d about 13p for the day out to watch Law Best Charlton, Greaves, Johnny Haynes.... It was another world, but we just took it for granted, too be fair you did go to watch your team but you also watched the other teams and there was no hatred
