Gerrard v Lampard v Scholes

The debate continues as Gerrard still comes out on top, with Lampard being close and Scholes way behind. Scholes' elevation and rewriting of history ends post retirement as he goes back to being last out of the three. Gerard 2 points per game, Lampard 1.5 points per game, Scholes 0.9 points per game. Normality has been resumed.

Did he try to sign Scholes? Of course not.

He didn't, he went after better players instead.

Who will make the best manager though. Oldham in the Prem? Liverpool in the Championship?

Scholes bottles management just like he bottled international football.

This is why nobody outside United rates him.

He better be careful or his elevation will end and he'll get the Keane treatment and end up underrated instead. It's amazing that Keane was twice the player than Scholes when they played but now seen as half the player when they retired.

He’s announcing his retirement from management as well. United fans have already proclaimed him the greatest manager to have graced the game.

0.9 points per game when he managed, 3.1 points per game after retiring.
