Alonso, Jorginho, Kante - whatever...

Far too many of us are getting tied up with the small issues here. Yes Alonso is awful, yes Jorginho is struggling with the pace of the Premier League, yes Kante is wasted further up the pitch.

None of these are the issue however. Our issues go far deeper and further up than any of these problems. Why were Alonso. Zappacosta etc signed? Because they were supposed to fit into Conte’s system. Why do they look so awful now? Because, yet again, we have changed style completely in the summer and the squad needs a complete overhaul. Add onto that we didn’t even give a philosophy driven manager the pre-season to work with his squad and you have a recipe for disaster.

We used to get by on short-termism because of the JT-Lampard-Drogba spine and then, once they left, because of Hazard’s talent. Next summer we won’t have that and unless we have a stubborn manger, willing to stamp his authority and style of football on our squad, we are destined for mediocrity for a prolonged period. Sack Sarri now and we are back to square one, again.

I haven’t been overlyimpressed by Sarri, I’m frustrated by his lack of use of CHO, but we do need someone like him to be stubborn enough to stick to his principles in order to have sustained success and that will mean pain in the short term. If we sack him now, we really are left with nothing going into next season.

That is why we're in the position we're in IMO. If you add imports like Morata, Giroud, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Kovacic, Barkley to that, then you get some idea of the problem the clubs in.

Constantly bring in average players, then you'll eventually turn into an average team.

Sarri does have his faults (failure to utilise CHO the main one) but you can't blame him for the tools he's been left with!

I would say not Sarri is vital to the future but we must keep on with the same progressive style we are trying to change too.

I actually think the Lamps/Jody combo is the way to go, it would probably change CHO's mind aswell.

If Lamps and Jody have any brains about them they should avoid this mess that the board has put us in with recruitment.

Long term thinking/patience with a managers style isn’t going to happen with Roman is it.

Reportedly it's similar to how he runs his businesses too. No one is too feel safe in their role or something

Can't really deny it works from the results

I don't know if Sarri is worth keeping or not...he's not helped himself one bit by sticking with a team and system that clearly doesn't work...if he did something to try to change it up I'd be fine with him....I'm not at this time

I was baffled by his late sub yesterday, even though I've heard the outcries of his routine line Barkley/Kovacic and Pedro/Willian subs etc from your fans.

82nd minute and 2-0 down and bringing on Emerson for Azpi?

CHO looked miserable on the bench, must be disheartening to know you're not going to get a chance, I'd love him to compete for our RW slot for the future as a rotation player this season as we don't really have competition there.

Sarri might as well stay at home & leave his instructions by text...although his staff know what he's going to do anyway

Sarri is a red herring

The big picture is...

Owner nowhere to be seen
Nothing happening on the stadium
We are falling behind in Europe and now domestically too
Failure to integrate youth players into the first team
Average signings

Its just a feckin mess and yes no doubt Sarri will be the next fall guy for the cr p people than run this club
