Did he have a chance of achieving anymore than he has? The Celtic squad simply not good enough to compete in Europe and Rodgers won every competition he took part in.

If the board could have backed him he may have stayed but the lure of a PL job with a good established club is an opportunity he couldn't turn down.

Timing was poor but you have to take the opportunity when it comes up.

First real domestic challenge on the horizon though.

Credit to him but your nan would have won the league these last few seasons in charge of Celtic.

The unbeaten season has to be applauded though as much better Rangers/Celtic teams have failed to do that.

Can't we leave the nans out of it?
