Pep chose to play Gundog and DSilva in similar roles and areas of the pitch first half ,with B Silva and Mahrez also seeming to get in each others way it was an underwhelming first half with few chances,0-0
Then came the Sterling goal ,Sterling clearly isn't offside until he attempts to play the ball,but he didn't do that ,staying close to the defender, who then helpfully smacked it against Sterling and into the net
It goes to 3-0 Sterling hat trick of course,some subs arrive theres a wobble as the Otter kind of forgets to clear the ball,but the game is seen out in the usual way

I was shouting down to Pep to bring Sterling off after 30 minutes.
He was truly dreadful in the first half but how can you not admire his self belief?

First half was so frustrating. They had 11 players within 25 yards of their goal the whole time. Second half was like a different game. Win 8 more league games and there is nothing Pool can do pleasingly.
