2019 - Australian Grand Prix Race Thread

G’day mates

Hello and welcome to the award winning Formula 1 race thread.

It has been a long winter but F1 is back with a bang baby, with new rules.

So with a new season upon us, everyone suspects a shake up on the grid and a loss of power of the all conquering Silver Arrows.

All the race details can be accessed from formula1.com so I am not going to bother sharing lap times.

The race starts at 5.10am UK time on Sunday, March 17

Saturday's qualifying hour begins at 6am UK time

His slip up opened up that gap. He's closed it down now and has fresher tires

Great win by Valtteri. Superb 1-2 for Mercedes.

Honda on the podium too.

Ferrari were a loooong way off the pace. Sounds like team orders again to keep Vettel first of the two cars.

I understand, but round 1 is shiete.
