Top 4 Odds

Spurs fixtures (8/13 favorite)
31/03 Liverpool A
03/04 Palace H
09/04 City H (CL)
13/04 Huddersfield H
17/04 City A (CL)
20/04 City A
23/04 Brighton H
27/04 West Ham H
04/05 Bournemouth A
12/05 Everton H

You would expect Spurs to take 18/24 points from these fixtures especially with all their remaining home games being played at new WHL. The only tricky one in there is Bournemouth away, if Spurs gets past City in the CL they will have 2 semi final fixtures to play on either side of the Bournemouth match.

Arsenal fixtures (4/5 2nd favorite)
01/04 Newcastle H
07/04 Everton A
11/04 Napoli H
15/04 Watford A
18/04 Napoli H
20/04 Palace H (expect this to be moved to Sunday 21st)
29/04 Leicester A
04/05 Brighton H
12/05 Burnley A
TBC Wolves A (expect this to be played 24/04)

Expect Arsenal to take 9 points from home but the away games are all potential banana skins. Watford A is in between 2 tough ties vs Napoli, Wolves are flying high at the moment, Leicester have been revitalized by BR and Burnley could be fighting for their lives on the final day. Everton A looks our toughest game ‘on paper’ but you feel we need to win that game. 17 points from the 24 remaining would likely secure top 4.

Man United (6/4 3rd favorite)
30/03 Watford H
02/04 Wolves A
10/04 Barca H
13/04 West Ham H
16/04 Barca A
21/04 Everton A
24/04 City H
28/04 Chelsea H
04/05 Huddersfield A
12/05 Cardiff H

United have what looks like the toughest run in, but also 2 banker wins to end the season. Also expect them to win the first 2 matches on the list. Wolves will be playing Watford in the FA Cup semi 3 days after their match with United, so don’t be surprised if both teams have one eye on Wembley when they play United. The 3 matches against Everton, City and Chelsea will likely define their season.

Chelsea fixtures (11/5 outsiders)
31/03 Cardiff A
08/04 West Ham H
11/04 Slavia Prague A
14/04 Liverpool A
18/04 Slavia Prague H
22/04 Burnley H
28/04 Man United A
04/05 Watford H
12/05 Leicester A

Chelsea are rightfully outsiders with the bookies and think they will finish 6th comfortably. They have a favorable route to the EL final so I’m pretty sure their focus will go entirely on winning it after they lose at Anfield.

If you put me on the spot now, I’d expect Spurs and United to just about take the top 4 spots. United are capable of beating City and Chelsea at home. I’m not sure if Arsenal are capable of winning 3 of their remaining away games, which is what we will need to guarantee top 4.

When has any team in the PL moved into a new stadium and benefitted from it immediately?

In fact the opposite is true, you always see a down turn in results. West Ham, Arsenal being two high profile examples.

Why Spurs think they will be different is strange.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The last time Spurs played our home games at the lane, we were unbeaten while season, so going back there is expected to be a plus and a positive.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
White Hart Lane had one of those old school , intimidating atmospheres, i'm not sure your new stadium will have the same intimidation, mainly due to 'new' football fans taking over, we'll see.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you wish the Emirates was intimidating?
Highbury certainly was.
It’s a strange one because the Emirates is more or less identical to the Stadium of Light in Lisbon - same architect no doubt, yet the atmosphere at Benfica games is immense, very loud and intimidating. Why not so at Arsenal??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Highbury intimidating ...fk off we took it every yr in the 80s
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I went to a game in the early nineties where we drew 1-1. Anderton equaliser I think. I found it quite an intimidating atmosphere but I was only a nipper tbf.
It was a proper old school stadium with stands very close to the pitch like Upton Park was, and WHL to an extent.

Both stadiums are more or less identical fella. I’ve done a tour of Benfica’s stadium plus seen them play Belenenses - hence my comments on the atmosphere etc, albeit it was a Lisbon Derby.
Never made a NLD at the Emirates but having seen them on TV I am reckoning it’s the same architect.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I haven't been to the stadium in Lisbon but the atmospherics in the Emirates has never been very good. Yes we are a middle class bunch. Its why Highbury was called the library. But even then we could get it up in the derby or when the ref wronged us in Highbury. I am quite sure its down to the design. I remember Wenger made a big play on the quality of the pitch and that the playing surface had to be a carpet. They need air for that. Emirates is newer so maybe thats how the design evolved.

I watched it pretty much from 9 holes on wards. To nail a driver right down the centre of the fairway on the 18th is no mean feat even for a pro.
