Hope springs eternal – again – as Derby look to capitalise on their impressive showing against a poor Bolton side who had not been paid for two weeks. Yes, I know you can only beat what is in front of you but to have got to this stage where we have to win all/most of games to extend our season, it is a little bit galling. Still would we have taken 8th after THAT first game of the season?

Frank seems to be a bit tetchy these days – latest questioning on the clubs finances made clear his irritation – can't the journos ask interesting questions like “where is Anya?" At least we have solved the whereabouts of Marriot - but not why – when he made guest appearance on the bench.

Supporters’ player of the year award has opened – now you may disagree with me but I cannot see the point of casting a voting for PotY for player who is not OURS. Therefore whilst it is nice to put forward the holy trinity of Tomori/Wilson/Mount but they will not be here next year. Therefore I am casting my vote for……..

Derby should be up to full strength for the short hop down the A38/A452 with only Anya and …………………….(insert name) missing. Will Waghorn and Marriot fight it out or will Nugent have impressed in training this week and get the nod ahead of these two?

Sell out away crowd for Derby fans but I’m sure Birmingham are all too happy to sell more on the day to the Faithful – as they always do.

With Ipswich now making the nightmare of relegation more of a reality, Derby, along with their neighbours from the Dark Side of the 52 have the dubious honour of spending more continuous time in the Championship than any other team. Not sure if that is good or bad .
