Klopp Special Incoming

Klopp is a fantastic manager and he continues to pull off some great feats with comparatively weaker resources than the giants of the game. This season he is only a few games away from a historic double. The man loves a runners up medal and no doubt he's already dreaming of adding another pair.

Still up against it of course, but if Liverpool could somehow battle their way past Barca they'll be finishing the season with a silver medal in the two greatest club competitions in world football. All that with horrenderson as captain. Too soon to celebrate yet but plaudits for the effort nonetheless. Bravo Jurgen, bravo.

Last time Arsenal were in the Champions League the were losing to Bayern by 10 goals over 180 minutes.

A goal every 18 minutes. They haven't qualified very often since and their board is the online equivalent of Chernobyl. Once vibrant but nobody lives there anymore.

That's what I call competing with the best in Europe.

Arsenal aint doing too badly. No where near the prem title but a vast improvement on the latter Wenger years. emery has worked wonders with the shower left behind and we've signed some relatively unknown quality in Leno, Torreira, Sokratis and Guen.

Liverpool look brilliant and should they come 2nd will have done so with the highest ever points tally for a runner up.

However, Klopp and the club need trophies rather than admiration. Win some and then you can laugh at the likes of Arsenal who even though in the doldrums have won more than Liverpoolover the past 5 years or so.

I think admiration is needed. Trophies will come. You can have both.

Admiration is just a vanity project and comes across as needing a pat on the back from outsiders to make you feel good.

Needing compliments should be beneath a club of your historic stature.

Shame it's come to that really.

So why did you talk about compliments being beneath a club ffs

Mourinho won trophies with United but had no admiration, fans didn't trust in him and the direction the club was going in.

Klopp hasn't yet won trophies but has admiration and trust in the direction the club are going in. I prefer that as trophies will come but we can also enjoy the ride as we go.

You're full of crap.
