Leicester to the rescue!

Obviously we will get 9 point from our next 3 games, but that still leaves us relying on others for our much deserved top 4 spot. Thankfully, Vardy and his buddies will be on hand to set it right. They'll easily wipe the floor with Arsenal, Chelsea could be trickier, but they are good for a 0-0 draw.

Well done lads, top 4 is looking likely!

Real life people are hit and miss too... I was in the local for the match last night and the Wolves score flashed up and some mug asked if Steve Bull still played for them.

And plenty on here are grand, thing is post Fergie the expectation would naturally be still high, just been champions etc.

Moyes really was on a hiding to nothing, whomever followed Fergie unless they won the league, or a very close challenge was essentially a sacrifical lamb.

Subsequesnt appoints, who had some success, slowly began to lower the expectation, now reality has set in as to where this current united squad is, the issues in structure at the club, and the job Ole has to rebuild.

Not adig but it is all very similar to us in the 90's, did take many many reds years to finaly accept we were not getting close to a title challenge, and that we needed a better structure in place, new owners in FSG etc. And even then patience to accept things won't change quickly.

Like it's nigh on 30 years since we had a team that may actually put in a sustained challenge for the league over a few seasons.

Rafa's 08/09 side was a few years in the making but fell apart the following season, 13/14 under Rodgers was a weird coming together that led to a challenge no one expected.

Under Houiller we had the treble cup season which was great but we could never make the step up to get to a level like united, and under Evans we were a good watch but easy to carve open.

But to be fair lots of united fans are level headed (as level headed as any of us football fans can be ) and now will lower expectations to allow Ole and the new look set up the time players etc, in place.

25% on wage dock on Sanchez, Lukaku and Pogba alone could reduce world hunger!

Being as fair as I can be, United need to drop the United DNA chat quickly. They were veggies demands which at the time delivered amazing success. However, they now hold you back as everyone eludes to some kind of sense that isn't rooted in modern day football.

Said above about how Liverpool have worked towards an identity over the last 3 years and now have a fabulous team. Even if they win nothing, which I don't think they will, they are an incredible side.

United need to really move on from Ferguson at al, decide on a vision, and chase it to the end.

I think United will get top four. Beating Chelsea is the key, the other two games are a guaranteed six points.

Even if we beat Chelsea, and both teams go on and win the next two games, Chelsea got a better goal difference at the mo??
