Absolutely Amazing...

...when you look at the cost of the Spurs and Ajax side last night compared to tonights semi-finalists!

Spurs 11 last night: £135.m

......................Lloris (11.3m)

.....Alderweireld (14.4m)....Sanchez (36m)...Vertonghen (11.2m)

Trippier (4.4).................................................Rose (0.9m)

........................Wanyama (13m)

................................Eriksen (12.2m)

.......Lucas (25.6m)...............Llorente (13.6m).........Dele (6m)

Compare that to Liverpool and Barcelona's last CL line ups which both cost not far off £300m

Liverpool's and Barca's line up cost over double that of Spurs' line up and that's not even taking in to account subs.

Ousmane Dembele on Barca's bench cost nearly as much as out first 11

Well done Tottenham - not just trying to buy success

Spurs and Ajax both clubs trying to do it the right way. The Ajax Academy is brilliant. If you also count all the Spurs players that used to play for Ajax, something like 15 players on the pitch all Ajax or ex players. Brilliant.

I hate the chequebook clubs, that just try to buy trophies. Spurs and Ajax are both a credit to football, and should be commended.

When was the last time spurs tried to buy anything?

We bought a stadium quite recently.

Chelsea has to abandon their build, they ran out of money, and the owner cannot come into the country.

“Spurs and Ajax both clubs trying to do it the right way.”

Well Spurs aren’t doing very well then. You have 1 player that cost more than Ajax’s first 11.

I wouldn't really compare Spurs to Ajax in terms of spending. The gulf between the two clubs outlays are just as big as Spurs and Pool/Barca imo

The fact Ajax generate way less income is impressive and I'd argue the reason Spurs have been treading water this year or regressed is due to them not spending the money they have made. Not sure why fans are so happy that Spurs made so much from their fans but refused to reinvest it.

Few players and I'd have fancied spurs having a chance at the PL and CL. Ajax are the blueprint though to inspire other clubs that's it's possible to kick on, if u invest wisely

He can come for six months a year sandy and the petty cash tin would take care of a new stadium.
If he decides to sell, someone richer will buy, fact.
One day it will happen but i'm sure we won't be banging on about it every day
