Ole: 'Rooney, Ronaldo my transfer model'

Positive to see

With Jose you also had a sneering arrogant man, when he was winning I could put up with it to a certain degree but when he wasn’t it grated more than I could have take, as for OGS he deserves time to make his own signings and implement his way of playing them, won’t judge him at all until then👍

This is really good to hear, combined with the Daniel James transfer for £15 million shows we are hopfully going to be shrewder in the transfer market than the 13 year old building his FUT team approach we’ve had recently.

The stories of the scouts spotting talent but being blocked by Woodward was frustrating, but at least they were spotting good players.

This along with Ole’s apparent transfer policy of young, hungry players has got me a bit more optimistic for next season than I was.

Just need to get Woodward as far away from the football side of things as possible.

Fair play to him for coming out and saying it would take a miracle to challenge next season. He's right and it's better to say that now than down the line.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet when Mourinho says this he should be fired and it's terrible for him to say such things etc. etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think in hindsight Mourinho's comments have proven to be true and he did very well to get second with that squad.

Though he caused his own problems in the squad and ultimately fell on his own sword when he couldn't get a reaction any longer. That and his signings were almost universally terrible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jose wasn't wrong in what he said, but it was the way he dealt with it that was the issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Totally agree with you
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Plus.... He spent hundreds of millions and signed half the feckin team... So, even putting his behaviour aside, he was responsible for a large part of it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I covered that above in his signings were almost universally terrible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I know... Just wanted to hurt wahl a bit

Wahl bashing should be an Olympic Sport.

Both Emery and Sarri had issues after pretty decent starts this season. I know part of it is wumming, but to say Ole is the only one when coaches, with more prestige and had their own signing, hit similar issues shows anyone could struggle in this league.

Was Moyes not slated for saying similar things?

You all agreed SAF left an ageing declining squad and that SAF had pulled off a wonder squeezing the league title out of that lot. Moyes didnt say anything different from what you are all saying now, 5 years later, that the majority of those players are not United quality.
