The Beatles

Following on from the thread earlier which I couldn't disagree with more, what would everyone's favourite bands be and their favourite album.

I made the point in said thread that although the Who are my favourite band ever (quadrophenia for me is the single greatest lp? Ever written but as i get older I firmly believe the Beatles are the greatest band of all time. The kinks, the doors, the jam, oasis, stone roses etc have a special place for me but having listened to every song they every wrote the Beatles for me are the greatest of them all.

We are the mods. (Disclaimer. The Beatles weren't mods, hence my original line)

Not sure what your slapping your ugly face for, but you cannot say with a straight face that Dogs is not a better song than any of the Beatles ever produced. Pink Floyd were genius. Or Echoes even.

No, it’s not. Floyd were too self indulgent. The Beatles early stuff is crap, but they k kicked well out of the park later on.
