Liverpool 5-4 Alavés, 2001 UEFA Cup final.
A bit like one of those Greek tragedies, the hero's hopeless fight against destiny. Alavés were massive underdogs, went two goals down within about 15 minutes. Fought back from 2-0, 3-1 and 4-3 down to level it right at the death. Reduced to 9 men in extra time and were only a couple of minutes away from a penalty shootout and they go and lose it to a fecking own goal.

Feel free to mention it
If I remember rightly we got spanked by Man City in the earlier kick off that day
I got back to my local after being at the game and all the gooners in the pub were giving it the biggun
That didn’t last long tho

I am sure in the very early 60s Spurs beat a team about 22 - 0 ( was it the Canada National side?) I remember that at half time the Spurs Keeper Bill Brown changed sides to try and even up the game.
