Foyth @ CM

Afternoon Ladies & Gents of course,

Our boy Foyth do any of you see him as a good CM?

He's very good at carrying the ball forward and when i think back to when we originally bought Eric Dier who was a CB/RB then one pre-season Poch decided to play him CDM i can kind of see the same thing with Foyth and i feel he would make a good CDM to play alongside Winks, N'dombele (praying).

Anyway open for discussion let me know your thoughts.

i see him more as a DM than a CB. don't rate him at CB... simply takes too many risks and is a bit too rash. hes got ability on the ball... maybe he will develop into a DM.

He can certainly beat a player, I haven't seen any signs of playmaking ability there though. Worth a go I suppose.

i would argue that beating a player and therefore opening the game up is a good playmaking skill

Hi Chronic. For sure it's a useful skill, though I would argue that positioning, and being able to spot and make the right pass accurately are more important skills for a playmaker.

Think he can be a good DM.

I'd like to see him tried there but I also think he still has a future at CB

Wasnt he a number 10 until he was 16 and then he got moved back to centre half?

definitely think he could play there. doesnt stop us needing 2 CMs and a CB if he were to move to that position, though.

I see him growing as a ball playing central defender he has great attributes.

Sadly he lacks a footballing brain. Praised strangely for awful performances at right back. Struggles with positioning, is incredibly rash, poor decision making. He can be talked through a game in the centre of defence.

Needs to play somewhere he is poor because he lacks any form of experience. Tremendous upside but without playing he will never learn despite training with two outstanding defenders in Toby and Jan.

Here's an idea... let's just sign a proper CM that will actually make us better..... newsflash.... we still haven't won anything in donkeys..... just a thought but maybe, just maybe there are players out there who can improve upon our earth shattering trophy haul of FACK ALL
