Most important thing is to get a replacement for Mount. We struggled when he was out injured and improved when he returned. Tomori and Wilson will also be hard to replace.

I'd have liked to see if Wisdom could've done a job in central defence, he doesn't posses the pace of Tomori but defensively he's not weak. Rumours he's on his way out though.

We desperately need two creative midfielders, as you say Spart we struggled when Mount was out and didn't have an ideal replacement for him.

Could be "back to square one" for the umpteenth time this millennium?

Wisdom was a waste of money and a player the manager at the time didn’t want to sign. The manager thought he could spend the £4m better.

Griff, Hughton by all accounts played attacking football in the championship, he only became more defensive when in the Prem.

This very point (although not specifically Hughton) was discussed by Mel and Simon Jordan on Talksport yesterday. Basically they were saying many 'attacking' teams tend to become defensive to try to survive, especially if they start badly so one beautiful season is no guarantee of more of the same if it works.

Isn't always the way though, look at the success wolves have had with Nuno continuing the attacking style.

Maybe the new manager doesn’t want any of Chelsea’s loan players. Tomori and Mount only came to derby because Lampard was at Derby.

The best that can come out of this experience is that we finish Frank decides to stay until his contract expires and the we remain very good friends with Chelsea to get further classy loans like Mount and Tomori.

Second best outcome is that we become even firmer friends with Frank at Chelsea and ditto re loans.
