Happy Friday troops

Is today the day?

28th June and we’re still awaiting our first signing. Whilst there are several factors that have been unfortunate, I’m keen to see one or two officially over the line by Monday.

King Julien landed in Edinburgh last night and there is chat he’ll be unveiled this morning then fly out to Austria to meet the team, anxious over this one to be honest, he’s a fantastic signing on paper and at £7 million, it’s a big outlay so you’re not getting a project here. He looks a leader, someone to come right in and start daftying kants for fun.

Obviously the disappointing transfer was David Turnbull, first things first, if this hadn’t been played out in the public eye, both Motherwell and Celtic to blame then the boy might have been able to deal with it better but he’s been hung out to dry by the clubs, although Celtic at least tried to give him the best possible outcome with Motherwell shouting “naw, it’s ma baw I’m going home" it’s looking likely he won’t kick a ball again until january or February if at all this season so it’ll be interesting to see if we’re back in for him in January or the summer.

Luca Connell was spotted at Celtic park yesterday so who knows how far along that one is. There’s rumours we can get him for £200K, there’s rumours he won’t move before his contract runs out in 2020, so aye, no one knows

Still no concrete sign of a right or left back but lennon confirmed he’s confident of 1 or 2 to join the squad in a day or two.

Marvin Shved has been hitting all the right notes no far, and I don’t mean his burd’s @rse. Seen a few clips of him in training yesterday, absolutely breezing past players and pinging them in. Lennon said he’s been hugely impressed by both him and Bayo so who knows, maybe we will give the Ivorian Bangura a chance

Anyway, enjoy yer weekend troops.

Jullien is a strong, steady centre-half who has performed consistently well over the last three seasons in Ligue 1. His great strength is his aerial ability. At 6ft 5in, he is a towering presence, but is also excellent at timing his runs in to the opposition box at set pieces. He also reads the game pretty well.

His weakness would be his speed on the turn. This was exposed more last season following the departure of his partner and former club captain Issa Diop to West Ham, with Jullien caught out for several goals in the first part of last season. Although his form improved through the campaign, it was not his best season for Toulouse.

That doesn't sound as promising as you would hope for 7m.
