1 appearance for Portugal and 26 league appearances for Benfica.
Unreal!

Adu I did mean. I hate typing on the phone, I only do an article on the computer. Also the keyboard is French and English, so whatever I'm typing in the odd word often comes in in the wrong language.

Absolutely, autocarrot always gets me on the phone

Simeone. Now there's a name to ponder on. I remember the game where Beks nudged him with his leg and Simeone hit the deck as if a sniper had taken him out, leg broken in seventeen places by the look of it, and Beckham got his marching orders.
Simeone then made a miraculously instant recovery and played on.
If he were ever, ever to take the reins at LFC then that would be the time for me to walk.

just a quick comment on OP.
If messi played one season as a kid and barca had then bought him would you have said the same.
when utd bought ronaldo back when... the fee was 17mil in 2003. in other words an absolute massive fee for the time. dare i say it but ronaldo played 30 times for sporting and scored 5 goals...
Its not about length of playing time. Its about god given talent.
As much as i might not like ronaldo the talent is obvious and anyone whos seen felix will say the talent level is massive.

Talent yes but when Ronaldo went to Utd it was for £13m not £113m.
Do Atleti have that sort of money if the signing doesn’t work out?
It’s a massive gamble.

------------
The Rodri and Lucas Hernández sales (each in excess of 60M) more than cover the Joao Felix fee.
Atleti's summer window balance currently stands at -6.7M, having signed Marcos Llorente from Madrid and Felipe from Porto.
That includes the J. Felix signing, and does not include the 100M-plus they're set to pocket when Griezmann's departure is confirmed. In other words, they'd still have room to make more signings and still end up making a profit this window.
Wages are also a factor, and I doubt Feliix will be pocketing as much as Griezmann has been, so they might even end up not only with a transfer profit, but also lightening up their wage bill a bit.

Do you think there’s any chance at all that Griezmann will stay, IOAG?
It would obviously require Barca to fail to trigger his release clause and decide to either look elsewhere or that they’d spent enough, and Atleti to reject any other offer. But is it realistically possible?

I think Atleti just want rid of him now. They are having a massive rebuild this summer and a lot of it will be dependant on the monies received for Griezmann.
