The club has put eight players up for sale according to fourfourtwo.com and Metro.
Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama, Serge Aurier, Kieran Tripper plus Vincent Janssen, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Josh and Marcus Edwards.
Now of these players, which do you think would be worth persevering with in the long term?
Personally I was hoping that Edwards might have learnt a few things whilst on loan, but apparently no.
I would keep Danny Rose because he does give us a great option from the bench.
The others I am not too fussed about though. Aurier appears to be injury prone and wonder if his attitude is suspect🤔
Part of me thinks that Trippier might well have suffered from having a good WC, and his form dropped off dramatically from his first year with us. I wonder if he could turn things around next season.
Also there is no mention of N’Koudo, who has been on loan at Monaco🤔🙄

Well we shouldn't waste on digne ffs he only had 1 season at Everton, isnt really better than rose.
ANOTHER player we missed the boat with and should have got him last summer if we really want a different LB to Rose

If we want a long term replacement for rose its sessegnon. Keep rose and use sessegnon as a squad player/ rotation player and in coming years he naturally overtakes rose as our number 1 FB.
If we could only get rid of aurier or trippier it has to be aurier. Trippier cant have a worst season than he did last term, aurier is injury prone and out of favour

Genius, I very much doubt the club are going to put up for sale, Rose, Aurier and Trippier, that would leave the club with hardly a full back at the club.

Agreed, fair enough move either Trippier or Aurier on. But selling all three would be madness. I don't trust us so sign the right three players to replace them. And even if they did it would take time for the three new full backs to settle.

Danny Rose is still a very good LB, when fit.
Certainly he needs a top class cover because he will get injured.
As for Aurier, he was a gun-toting jailbird when we bought him from PSG.
Between him and Trippier I don't know who I would keep. Hopefully neither.
Also, what on with Toby and Jan? Both are pushing their use-by date.
And are we getting a REAL backup for Kane?
