All world cups should be free to view on normal TV. A lot of supporters cannot afford the exorbitant monthly fees that Sky charge for watching their sports channels.

Does anyone miss the days when Sky Sports just used to be Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Now having dedicated Sports for each channel is a bit odd. As I don't care about the F1 or Golf

None of us should have to pay to watch the national side in any sport.

This may have already been covered but for any of you guys watching on channel 4 the coverage stops at 1.15pm to show a pointless race (not the french) but switches to More4. It switches back to channel 4 after the GP!

Why?

You’d have to pay to be there. Why should you be allowed to watch anything for free? No tv is for “free”. They’re all paid for in one way or another even if it’s you or me paying for the the companies to spend some of our money on products by advertising them on tv.

It has nothing to do with "can't".

Many people, quite rightly, refuse to put even more. money into the hands of an organisation that is being guided into ever more disgusting attacks on decent, honest, working-class people.

So we'll done for sponsoring an organisation that will eventually destroy you. Unless of course you are a corporate owner or banker - which judging by your stupidity and ignorance is, I suppose, slightly feasible.

Besides, there are many ways of circumventing the capitalist whores.

Watch the cricket that way and for free to pizz them off.

To be fair to sky, you can't overestimate how badly they needed the publicity from the CWC final by making it Free to air. Look at the sports they've lost recently:

Champions league
their monopoly on EPL
ATP and US Open Tennis
La liga

I'm currently signed up to Now TV for the cricket but usually I only sign up for it for about 3 or 4 weeks per year.

Sky also lost IPL, Ashes in Austrailia, Big bash

sky would have out bid BT if they wanted the ashes down under. since the viewing figures were very tiny. It wasn't worth buying.
