I'm more bothered about defense.

Personally I thi k it's looking likely that bielsa thi ks white is a replacement for Pontus.

Which worries me because we were in a situation last season where we had to pay a midfield player in defense.

The way I look at it is if you could only sign one more player before the season starts what position would you pick.

For me it would 100% be a centreback.

A striker, due to the fsvr we have three and play one is not a priority.

Using Man City as an example is nonsense.

2 great, world class, strikers maybe. But supported by a midfield completely filled with threat & goals from different areas. Hardly comparable

We are not comparing the quality, we are comparing quantity.

We are fine with striker numbers. Whether they are good enough is a whole different debate

The point i'm making is that City have 2 great strikers. But they don't solely rely on them for goals, if for any reason only one is available and in form.

For us, we have 2 injury prone strikers, based on recent history, and we don't have the team around them to compensate in terms of goals. Roberts if we're classing him as a striker has had injuries, and is yet to be used regularly as a striker. If for any reason Aguero and/or Jesus have a combination of injury and/or off form - there's others in the team will score.

I'm not for a second trying to compare the standard of player, just the goals from other areas of the team, Pablo/Klich apart.

Agreed, if fit 3 strikers more than enough for our set up. But how often are we looking for goals from elsewhere because of injury and lack of form for ours?

I don’t see everyone banging on, they don’t have enough strikers. Both which regular pick injuries.
