Bale's stats for Madrid are pretty impressive, and he's surely good enough to be knocking on the first XI door of Liverpool's. Doubt he'll take a massive pay-cut though, so all irrelevant.

I think the big problem is that he has what, 3 years left on his contract?

He’s supposed to be an asset but Zidane’s handling of the situation means they want to get rid.

Could they stomach receiving a pitifully low fee and paying off Bale?

Given his age, the wage thing can be overcome with a pay off but that would hit Real quite hard.

Difficult situation for all involved now.

True. at that kind of money he doesn't really fit. more likely disrupt the team. if he was on the same money as salah or mane he would be useful.

Does Zidane not rate him, or is it a personal issue?

Not really sure but would guess it’s personal.

Even if you don’t think he’s a superstar, surely he’s of value to the team?

I’d be miffed if I were the owners but who knows what happening behind the scenes I guess.

if i was bale i would want to step into a new challenge.
he must have all the money he could spend in a lifetime. trying to help a team that hasn't won the P.L. for quite a while to win it would be a bigger feather in his cap than just sticking with real or worse yet getting even more money and wasting the rest of his career in china.
