Huddersfield had a lot of players who played in the Premiership last year. Fit, fast, good passers. Never looked troubled. They scored a good goal, right foot shot from the left of the penalty area curling into the top right corner.

Copps had a pile-driver turned away by the keeper.

Then, in the second half, a daft free kick given away on the edge of our area, flicked over the wall to the right, their right back danced in past the wall and hit it past our keeper. Naiive defending.

In the second half Wright lost his head – two bad fouls and off. Sheaf then dropped into the back four, where he looked comfortable.

Sheaf is a good addition either pulling the strings in midfield or as a CB.

Gomes got MoM. Lively and skilful but unlike Sheaf he gives the ball away. Never stopped trying.

Marquis didn’t even get scraps to feed on. Lots of effort and some good passing but he looked unhappy.

No sign of Whiteman. It is said he is injured but some fans think he is going to be sold.

I see Hull City come into today’s match having won 3-0 vs Grimsby, 2-1 vs Lincoln and I think Orient, but having only drawn at Mansfield and lost 2-0 vs FC Amiens (from France’s top flight I assume). So anything less than a solid win today will not look too good for GM!

1-1 at half time.
Joe Wright went off injured early on.
Rovers playing quite well.
Marquis absent for personal reasons.

Hull got a lucky late equaliser after Coppinger had put us ahead with a 25 yard cracker of a goal.
Not a bad overall performance.

Good work out, deserved to win it.
Keeper will probably be the new No.1
Back 4 played better as the confidence from the keeper came through. Thus the new Ben and Ben partnership had the chance to run the game. Alfie and Sadlier were ok without really testing their keeper. Copps n Badger on the other hand, did. Two beautifully taken goals too.
Yet again we seemed toothless up front n got bullied again. Que Mr Ward, first challenge left their CB in a heap, followed by a couple of shoulder barges, a few follow throughs, a fore arm smash let them know he was there. Thus it got him a couple of chances, unfortunately their keeper had a very long reach. Sign him on a 12mths contract before some other club does.
Another week to go, let's see who else big Dave brings in.

Thanks. It sounds like a promising performance with some of the gaps usefully plugged and without Marquis too.

Time for further recruitment is running out, but DM seems to be confident that business will be completed in time.

We should definitely sign Ward and Baptiste.
