10 Championship Games

There's something about Huddersfield Town and mediocrity that draws me back to the boards.

And Jan Siewert is a good reason to. Last night was absolutely terrible, I can't quite get over how VLP didn't start, or that after 10 minutes we didn't change a system that has Koroma up against two massive centre-backs. It reeked of fear and poor attitude, but in all honesty as soon as I saw the line-ups I knew Lincoln would win.

We put a mix of youth, fringe players, and people who don't want to be there up against on the best clubs for winning mentality in the EFL. All in the a competition which repeatedly throws up unexpected results.

Ultimately, the positives from last night were that VLP looked great, Bockhorn looks reasonable, Bacuna got some long range shooting practice, and Schofield is clearly an excellent shot stopper. There are far too many negatives, but on that subject I keep asking myself... what the heck is Mbenza? Big money for a player who acts like he's in a casual mates kick about and wants all the fun bits like set pieces without any of the effort. His attitude on the pitch is toxic and he needs taking away from the team until he learns "Terrier Spirit".

What happened to "No Limits"?

Now despite all of this, I stand by my belief that JS should be given 10 league games to show his team. He's had everything against him so far, and ultimately we would have a chance of making a season of it after 10 games anyway. There's no point in hiring talented coaches from elite clubs if we don't give them a fair run.

I just think it's simplistic to count the PL against him.

The entire first team was a mess when Wagner departed, many players wanted to leave, confidence non-existent, and the squad wasn't PL standard anyway... that means you don't win matches.

I don't think Jan can be held accountable for this summers transfer activity - that's on the board.

My measure of JS is pre-season and the Championship:

Pre-Season you could argue was good - we won matches and on many accounts the team spirit was good. And fans were optimistic!

Derby was an eye-opener, but the team clearly listened to JS at half time and we ultimately gave a top Champ team a close game. Now that might sound small fry for a team just relegated, but our squad is a mish mash of players who ideally would move on, and players who are probably quite average at this level.

QPR - away day point, standard stuff really.

Let's remember what it took to get Town promotion, it was seismic.

Maybe if the players were told we was playing Wolves every week then we would probably win every game again

Hi Captain

Knowing Town, we'll stick with him,get a point against Fulham (to paper over the cracks) and then get ourarses handed to us by Warnock.

It was un " Dean" like last night to see the new chairman pacing up and down the touchline after the match on his phone. Is he out of his depth too? Probably, this shambles is going to get uglier very quick.

The chairman has just come out and given him his full backing

😁 the famous vote of confidence

He's a dead man walking now....he,s lost the fans and once that happens it only ends one way

Captain.....who would you explain how Colin quaner can make the match day squad yet rvlp is on the bench in a second string team...is fit and wants to play for us??

Apparently had a good game when he got on

VLP was very good last night - it's clear there is bad blood between him and the club since Wagner was boss. Another thing that JS isn't to blame for yet is getting the brunt of!

To be fair to big Col, he's a very effective player! I'd take him in the team over Mbenza any day

Mbenza has pace, and at least he's a " threat", big Col is as effective as the back end of a pantomime horse with no front attached.

No sentiment in football, he created one moment in our recent history, and that's it.

Mbenza has pace but doesn't use it because he's lazy, and when he does he usually trips over it because he's not engaged enough in the game. He runs away from headers for gods sake!

Quaner got 3 more assists from the wing than Mbenza did in a similar amount of Premier League appearances.

Ultimately Col is a team player with a good attitude, and what's clear is that we are lacking them in our first team.

He also had a really good spell at Ipswich last season - so I'd say he's got a lot more going for him in the Championship than Mbenza

He did beat Leeds I suppose 😁

Rvlp is a team player....he told my m8 who I sit by at matches he was back home!

He should be playing
