City thought they won it!!!!

City thought they won it ...... Looks like new lyrics to be added for our Allez song for this season I honestly could not give a flying f** about City playing much better today and not deserving that. How many times have we got robbed by teams when we have dominated ?

It’s about time we get a bit of luck. VAR is controversial and I don’t particularly like it, but right now the rules are the rules and we benefitted from it. It could be us next week being on the receiving end of it.

City spend all that money, so I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever. Finish all your chances, then you wouldn’t have to worry about VAR right at the end. Well done Spurs, not a great performance at all, but a fantastic result.

We got screwed by new handball rules in the champions league final so we should take it when we get.

Without VAR Spurs would’ve been knocked out of the CL with the last kick of the game at the Etihad by a goal that 2 minutes later in the studio would’ve been shown to be offside. I think it needs smoothing out, but injustices shouldn’t just be accepted as part & parcel of the game if there’s a way of avoiding it.

VAR is coming up with absolutely the correct decisions. Which I think is the whole idea of it. Supporters can moan all they like, but if the correct decision is given by VAR, then I for one think it is absolutely here to stay.

We have lost previous games that we have dominated with 60-70% of possession......................I said then and reiterate it now, the only things that matter are goals.

Yes City were by far the better team, however we had possibly only 4 shots on goal, whilst they had dozens yet the score was 2-2

Were you saying that in the CL Final where the worst penalty on record was given?

Look I can see why everybody is happy with a point but not caring how we played? That baffles me totally.

Good sides dont muddle through from game to game and thats what we have been doing for months now.
Draw at City great lose at Burnley, draw in Barca lost at home to Wolves, thats not the mark of a side that is going to get where we want to go.

We definitely need more consistency for a start. We need a system that does not leave us totally vulnerable out wide. We need to stop this ridiculous playing across the back when we simply dont have the players to do that.

A couple of years ago when we watched Spurs they looked like a top side whereas half the time now we look like another damned Stoke.

You may not want to hear it but its true and until we start playing in a way that makes us look like a top side again then trust me we are due a hell of a lot of disappointments this season.

Nicking a result against the run of play with a bit of luck is a very short term thing it might be amusing and double handy but playing good football, playing forwards and not backwards is a long term thing.

Whether we like it or not Poch has still only won 3 games away to top 6 rivals and today was a very clear message as to why.

That could have been and should have been 6 put past us today and if you think that sort of luck will hold and allow us to become trophy winners then I can assure you that it wont.

VAR is a tool. It does not give judgements. It is an aid to referees. It can be used well, or it can be used badly. The same thing can be said of the human eye.
And VAR certainly shows up things that the human eye misses - like today, as an example.

That said, the use of VAR today in denying City's "3rd goal" should not be confused with the fact that Spurs were very lucky to get a draw against the run of play and did not deserve it.

NO. VAR does not come up with any decisions.
VAR does not make decisions.
VAR shows the referee what happened, in great detail, and then the referee makes the decision.
VAR is a tool. It is NOT a referee.

A referee can look at VAR and still make the wrong decision. However, that should be less likely to happen then not looking at VAR at all.

VAR is just trying to balance out all those times we didn't have VAR and were robbed like Pedro Mendez against United.

VAR is not "trying to do" anything.
It is a tool to aid referee's in their decision making.
