We have only won one game!

Looks like some media and some fans getting carried away again. We have only won one game. It looked like a great performance but Birmingham were poor. I have seen an article on why Forest can be confident of 6 points in the next two games! Really??!! That seems pretty unlikely.

I think it’s best to just be pleased with the last result and see if we can keep it up. We do seem a little more solid at the back and some of the players we bought have actually looked really good, so it’s all positive. I still think we will be inconsistent for a while though and we need to be realistic about that. Fulham away will be a particularly hard game. If we do get 6 points from the next week then fair enough, we can start getting more excited!

I'd be happy with consistently hard to beat, inconsistently a threat. Asking for both with a new gaffa and new recruits is just unrealistic but it wouldn't be a true Garibaldi season without fans expecting to walk the league after our first win.

Charlton and Fulham are unknowns at this point. They've only played poor teams up to yet but sometimes when teams start winning confidence takes over. In both cases when we play them we'll be the biggest test they've had so far - IF - we play like we have so far.

Recruitment, squad depth, deadwood, attendances and performances have all improved this season so there's plenty to be happy about. Performances are built on top of that though so while you cant guarantee success, this is our best shot in a while to be.

If we can become consistently difficult to score against, that will be a good start; Muric has grown in confidence I hope.

No realistic Forest fan is getting over excited. Such a long way to go. Saturday showed that the potential is there but they’ll not play teams as poor as Brum every week. I actually think Forest will get two score draws in Brum this week.

Guilty. I am more optimistic at this stage of the season than I have been for many seasons at the same stage.

The reasons are that from what I have seen so far a higher percentage of the newcomers look like they might have a positive influence on the squad compared to previous seasons. Tactically Lamouchi seems much more astute than Montannier or Pearce for example. He is also getting better performances from Cash as a FB and Watson. We are playing as a team rather than eleven individuals.

I am not saying we will be promoted, not even that we will make the playoffs. There is still much to do, some obvious improvements to be made and there will be severe obstacles to overcome.

Over the course of three league games there has been improvements, Lamouchi is still learning about his squad and about the Championship. I think he is a quick learner.

My glass is slightly more than half full.

I like to be optimistic over pessimistic, as I think it makes for a more fulfilling outlook on life - I am also however, a realist

Whilst our performance was excellent last Saturday, there is always an air of caution, as I don’t think all teams will be so naive against us - our biggest downfall over past years has been our inconsistency - and one thing this league has proved over the years is that any team can beat any team

So whilst I’m hopeful about this season, I’m still very cautious about being overly confident

I think we could get a result tonight, if we have the right setup, there’s no doubt we have one of the deepest squads in the league, and possibly one of the best when you consider the players we have at our disposal

This is where I believe the Manager will succeed or fail - if he can keep the whole team grounded and focused on the job in hand, there’s no reason we can’t get a win tonight

It would be a massive confidence builder and a real statement of intent - so I’m going for a Forest win

Been pleasantly surprised by Watson. He seems a different player to last season. Cash has revelled in Lamouchi’s decision to stick with him at right back. A brave choice, especially after the WBA game and also signing Jenkinson.
