Media Watch: City in race for Bundesliga star?

City are one of several clubs competing for the signature of one of Germany’s brightest young talents, according to reports in Thursday’s newspapers.

It’s claimed the Premier League champions are amongst a cohort of European giants chasing Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz, while there’s also talk of this weekend’s trip to Bournemouth.

Writes Coral Barry: “Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have registered a transfer interest in Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz, according to reports in Germany.
“The 20-year-old is a rising star in the Bundesliga and has caught the eye of almost every top club in the world.
“After scoring 20 goals last season, Havertz is expected to push for a move in the summer of 2020.
“German outlet Sport 1 claim Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City are battling for Havertz and will face competition from United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spain’s two biggest clubs."
