I’ve been quite negative on here recently for which I apologise. Forget all my predictions/thoughts on Ole for one moment - I have to say I’m very impressed with Daniel James. He kind of reminds me of one of my fave players, Lee Sharpe. Not so much an exact style of play but played on the left and had that fearless youth thing going on and could pull a worldie out of nowhere.
His decision making is poor at times and will infuriate but that’s to be expected. Like many players of his ilk he likes coming in onto his right and curling a shot in and what seems to be most impressive is the power and pace he gets on his shots. Unstoppable like yesterdays. Would have liked to see how fast it was.
Whether or not Ole stays, if he leaves us the likes of AWB and James I can’t begrudge his time here too much.
Diafol, you scouted well. Any more hidden Welsh gems?

He does have a touch of both Sharpe and Kanchelski, a really good signing I think. I also rate AWB highly, it's only his second season in the PL but seems right at home.

A very positive start to his career at United. Mad to think that he already has as many PL goals for us as Sanchez. He gave his marker a torrid time yesterday and was still running at him in the last few minutes. Great pace and stamina.

Ive been really impressed with him defensively. He wins so many one on ones. Got a few decent crosses in yesterday too.

For his age and experience, his decision making has impressed me. What he is struggling with it consistency in his play.
He is by far our most dangerous player right now, alongside Martial.

I like him, great balance. Not too sure on his technical ability yet so it's hard to tell what his ceiling will be. Shrewd business at that price though.

Kind of seen it before.
He does ACTUALLY look the genuine article. But there again he looked good enough before he arrived - which is itself quite rare at the moment.
Just a bit reticent to get too carried away by the comments from posters on these forums. I can still remember it's not that long ago that garbage like Welbeck, januzaj, cleverley, macheda, obertan, rafael and fabio were being lauded as world beating saviours. Even though I could see they weren't.
Prefer to use my own judgement, experience and my own perception (and those of sensible folk around me), which all tell me he is a very useful addition to a threadbare squad (and in a currently under resourced position).
And that, from me, is high praise indeed
