im just curious as to who the OP thinks we should have signed in the summer to play in midfield?

Or how about many other centre mids around Europe
Or how about one of our countless scouts pull their fingers out and suggest someone.

I expect he is waiting for the Europa league + league cup for this.

It's a good idea because it keeps the snr players on side and he can challenge the young players to force his hand and play them.

If its a good thing then why are we not willing to sell Pogba and secondly I appreciate its the Portugese league however Fernandes output suggests he isn't that inconsistent. It was more to do with him giving the ball away however creative players tend to give the ball away a lot more often plus having seen him a few times he works a damn sight harder than Pogba. Not that that is too difficult mind.

I am struggling to see what your argument is. Are you suggesting our current midfielders are good enough?
Or are you suggesting there is nobody out there available that would improve us?

not at all, our midfield options are nowhere good enough.
as for availability, who knows.. i'd have loved Dybala, think he's a cracking little player, but in the same context i'm glad we didnt sign him if he wasnt up for the fight that lays ahead.

same with eriksen.. do we really want a player who would rather be in madrid, similar to pogba it seems?

James has probably been our stand out player this year and you can already see what it means to him to be at the club.

thats the kind of players i'd rather us sign, rather than players like Sanchez who are signed to plug an issue but end up being more trouble than they are worth.

Yes and I agree with that.
Still doesn't change what I said regarding the incompetence of the club not getting any centre mid in.

Mad to think our midfield cost £9m less than Pogba. Not having as much money to throw around/waste isn't always a bad thing.
