Rangers 1-0 Feyenoord

Excellent result and performance on what was an emotional night for everybody inside Ibrox. The tributes to Fernando from the fans at the ground and from the wider football community have been heart warming in a horrible time.

On the pitch Rangers took 5 minutes or so to get motoring but when they did they owned the first half in particular. Hit the bar, missed a penalty, missed a sitter and scored a belter. Plus Alfredo had a very strong shout for a penalty which I felt should have been given.

Special shout goes to Helander who came in from the cold and I thought was very good. He looked pretty quick and mobile over 5-10 yards and his use of the ball is good. I particularly his ability to play the passes Worrall thought he could - through the midfield to the feet of forwards.

Alfredo absolutely terrorised their defence and created several openings for himself and team mates. Anyone who seriously questions Morelos' ability to play at this level simply doesn't understand football. He didn't get his goal but his all round play was terrific.

And finally to the goalscorer himself - Ojo. What a hit from the lad who many have written off early in the season despit him scoring five goals and having 4 assists before the end of september.

I said it very early on - Ojos performances will be up and down. But over the piece he will deliver far more meaningful end product than than Candeais did. The fans just need to accept that he will be a bit frustrating and get behind the lad.

If he could consistently deliver top top performances with the attributes he has - his pace, power and shooting ability - then he would be Raheem Sterling and he wouldn't be with us.

Other honourable mentions go to Barisic - looked very comfortable in a Rangers jersey for probably the first time, Davis who is a machine and Jack who continues to play at a level or two above the last couple of seasons.

All in an excellent evening and a tremendous result.

Intensity was bloody fantastic last night, if we can do the same against Porto and the YBT young team we have a chance of winning every home game.

Thought Morelos was outstanding in that they couldn’t deal with him but his touch wasn’t there last night. Lost it too many times, or shot horribley when he had better options. Still great overall but thought he could’ve done more.

McGreggor, Barisic and Jack all top class. Wouldn’t say anyone was poor.

Without doubt it is more one way than the other.

The real loons are damaged by the 90s, maybe our teen fans will start carrying on like than when they hit there 30s-40s though not being in the league for all of it may temper the lunacy.

When guys are carry on like there is some sort of grand consipacy whilst we have dominated for years and nutjobs are able to survive on authoring consipacy books about Cetlic only then will it be equal levels.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this what you guys are clinging onto....that Celtic fans are more obsessed about Rangers than Rangers fans are about Celtic?

If the roles were reversed you lot would be the same or worse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I can only speak for myself but I am not 'clinging on' to anything.

I am just making a simple observation. No more than that.

Morelos really run their defenders in circles last night
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought late on when Morelos tired his touch did go a bit but overall he was terrific.

He got round the outside of the CBs 3 or 4 times with either strength, good skill and in particular a wee bit of class for the one in the first half where he just let the ball run and spun and the CB didn't have a clue what was going on.

The only minor gripe is we should have easily put the game to bed in the first half. At 1-0 we managed the game well but there was always a chance they could have nicked a goal.

Let's put this nonsense to bed for once and for all.

You were on an earlier thread telling us which players Lazio has left at home for a trip to Romania.

Jeez. You guys are hard work.

Roles reversed?

you mean if we were winning everything going we would be complaining?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The roles have reversed from the 90s and it's still Celtic fans that perpetuate the referee conspiracy crap.

Do. We were complaining about conspiracies in the 60's and 70' when our successes emotionally scarred the rangers fans.
