city v spurs

morning pop pickers

think today is not going to follow the rules
spurs have so far appeared to attack the first half and try to kill the game and defend the second half
city tend to defend the first half and attack the second

both having mixed results and neither on a run of form at the moment
this will either be 1-1 with kane and vardy getting typical goals or it will be a goal fest hopefully to city,,

lots of links out there with BT covering the game live,

anyone out in the wilds shout up and ill try to post my view on things
waiting for the team news

home game so ill probably spend most of it chatting to my self

Mates! We're 2nd in the league after 6 games of which we've already faced Tottenham, Chelsea and Man Utd

Yes! Bread and butter stuff, which we've failed at in recent years. But after that today, there is no excuse for going 4-5-1 against Newport County et al

Afternoon gents - banging result albeit a performance worthy of analysis.

Had a quick flick through this thread and see your question BS on 4-3-3. As I suggested before the game I thought this was the one game we should have gone 4-3-3 and the game hasn’t changed my mind.

We were way way way too open and a top team or Spurs on form would have punished us today. That said, we could and should have scored more goals and 4-1-4-1 looks like a great attacking formation.

So my view after that remains the same - we should play 4-3-3 (4-2-3-1) against the top teams and then 4-1-4-1 against everyone else.

What is certain is that 4-1-4-1 must/needs/has to be the way forward against most teams in the league.

Great result and some great football, but also questions about our defensive frailty against top teams.

All in all, a massively satisfying win though and lots of positives to take away. The main one being a win against Spurs 😂

I know we have to critique but lets not forget Spurs have finished 3rd, 2nd and 3rd in the last 3 Seasons.

Unless they have a massively disastrous Season they'll finish top 6 this Season, I'm finding it hard to criticise any player in a hard fought game against one of the top sides.

Top 6, won one, lost one and drawn one with potentially chances to have done better in two of them, in the first 6 games I'll take that thanks.

What a great win. Some superb performances from our boys, Ndidi, Ricardo, Maddison (what a goal!!!) but I thought Evans and Soyuncu were man mountains at the back. What a partnership they are and only going to get better and better.
Fingers crossed on Maddison’s injury. The test will be next week v Newcastle when they park the bus. Can we break them down.
Out of interest....is Rodgers still a fraud? Or that question is only vented when we don’t win ???

Definitely not a Claude today Miami. 4-1-4-1 and hung ho!

Much better to give it a go and maybe lose as opposed to play dull and end up losing anyway 🙃
