Wasn’t at the game on Saturday so this is based on the highlights from Sportscene but it would appear we’ve let County off the hook with just the 6.
3 absolute sitters on Saturday and 2 or 3 really good saves from their keeper and it would have been nice to have had an extra wee cushion for the goal difference, as it stands we’re ahead on goals scored.
Ultimately I’m hoping the international break was exactly what we needed to allow some key players a bit of rest and to kick on again. The way I see it we now have 4 absolute must win games in the space of 12 days.
First up, Lazio on Thursday. No doubts about it, if we want to progress then a win is vital, that said, depending on the result in the other game then a draw wouldn’t be the worst result provided we picked up at least a point in Lazio. A win though and we’re 1 win away from qualifying which would be terrific considering the quality of opposition.
After that it’s Aberdeen on Sunday and a game where we could easily drop points, Aberdeen now have a few players back and will likely try set the tempo against us in the hope we’re leggy from the Lazio game so Lennon needs to use the lessons from the Livingston game and freshen it up slightly.
Relatively low key game at home to St Mirren follows on the Wednesday, that should again be seen as the game to boost the GD.
Then it’s on to the cup semi final and that should be a cracker, actually don’t have too many concerns over that one, we play well at Hampden now and we should be able to right a wrong from the last Hibs game.
Get 4 wins from 4 and we’re in a great position leading up to the next international break.

I've got a vision of the new years game at parkhead.
Gerrard takes a leaf out of Lenny's book and Gers batter the ball straight out the park from kick off deep in the Celtic half.
We play Bauer just for this eventuality and instead of getting bodies back we just put everybody in the Rangers half.
Bauer throws it up to Eddie who rifles it straight into the net.
We then replace Bauer with El Hamed immediately.
That would be some laugh.

Just finished watching it.
11-0 and they couldn't have complained.
Reassuring esp as they were on a good run & solid Top 6.
