I think it’s impossible to do these things without some sort of subconscious bias towards the team you support. I’d go:

Schmeichel
Fuchs, Huth, Morgan, Simpson
Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Albrighton
Okazaki
Vardy

Well..longevity mixed in with quality and legacy. Milner been at a high level for years and contributed to many trophies.

Milner has been an important player for a few clubs now, but he’s no way near the level of some of those mentioned already

Longevity suggests that the player has been consistent over a number a years and not have just one freak season like a Michu or Odemwingie or whatever.

I like Milner. He is a decent player and a great professional. But he doesn't get close to getting into the team of the decade.

Gary Neville picked same 9 players I did for his premier league team of the decade, he had Zabaleta at right back and had Van Diijk in his team instead of Terry. Both Neville and Carragher left Terry out and had Azpilicueta at left back.
