Ten Games in

I thought they'd be a thread for this already so here goes.

That was a fantastic night on Friday ( for us anyway ) and apart from the scoreline told us so much about where we are where we're potentially going.

Rodgers frustration at 3-0 up because we got a bit sloppy and stepped off the gas was caught by Carragher and was obviously quickly changed by Rodgers to get us going again, his post match interview was excellent and shows he's a fantastic Man Manager.

Some fantastic post match interviews gave a real insight into how much of an affect BR is having on his young squad, I went back and watched them again this morning after turning off almost straight after the match.

Perez admitting he's having to adapt to playing out right but also that Rodgers has told him to get in there for goals. I think even if we lose Vardy for a few games through injury or suspension we've finally found that player that can step straight in to replace him, dare I say it but in a different way to JV he might actually be an improvement with the modern playing game over our old counter attacking style, we'd still miss JVs running and harassing but in that close passing game around the box Perez looks great.

What about Soyuncu as well, some comments pre season about 'if he's still playing after 10 games' what a revelation he's been, Maguire Who?

So if top six was a Pre Season target then we're well on track, 3rd on goal difference with more improvement to come, Man Utd was probably the main game where there's criticism of tactics by Rodgers but the Table doesn't lie, 3rd after 10 games should really give an excellent early report card?

Where will we be after the next 10 games?

Our two defeats gripe me somewhat. Not only for the fact they were both very marginal and by a single penalty goal, but there was never a better opportunity to beat Man Utd at Old Trafford, the manager to blame for our approach. And what seems like Liverpool on a slightly (only slightly) downward trajectory at the minute we could have cut the current gap by 3 points if not for a more measured approach from the players.

I, like most of us here put the draws against Wolves and Chelsea as either fortunate or unfortunate so probably evening themselves out just about, but not only that, we've got our early season experiments and fitness tests out of the way against (arguably) some of the leagues better opposition. Now we're hitting our stride with the more favourable fixtures and a chance to really stamp our intensions on the league. Friday night being a BIG statement. From both the manager and the players

Incidently we play Liverpool twice before we play West Ham once. Christmas time a free hit somewhat!

Next ten fixtures: Definite opportunities there, at least there are in the next 7.

I noticed when the fixtures came out that we’re not playing every team by mid-season. There is something aesthetically irritating about that, but it’s probably close enough not to matter.

We play the reverse against West Ham a few week later, I've noticed this happen most seasons, where a close NY game recalls the reverse quite soon after but I can't recall us playing a team twice before the first round of games are complete?

But, if i was to choose one to get out of the way it would be that fixture. Slight advantage
