Dan James

Love this kid. Great to have speed, energy and crossing ability in the side again. And he also deals with the rough stuff really well.

Labelled a diving speed merchant by some but i think that's really unfair. He grafts but also has real ability. And let's not forget hes done so well for a lad his age after a big move whilst also losing his dad.

A potential future great. Give him the 7 shirt next season.

I knew he would be a good signing for us, I watched him make his Wales debut against Slovakia and he scored in that game as well, He impressed me, I'm glad that we've got him.

James has clear deficiencies in his game but that’s not necessarily a negative - it means he can focus on improving those parts of his game to become more well rounded.

His effort and pace keeps defenders at bay which is very useful for us. I’d like to see him run and players a little more than he has been because when he does do it, he makes things happen.

If he can keep his feet on the ground and work hard then he could be a very good player for us.

Some Welsh fans on social media were worried he wouldn't get any games for us. I was always confident he would though. It's almost like they hadn't watched United for a few years!

Like you say he needs to improve certain aspects but I have seen an improvement from the start of the season. His assist for Rashford recently have been good and he'll always be good value for drawing fouls which can help relieve pressure and win us dangerous free kicks and penalties.

As I understand it McT, if we lose any of our next three league games you want Ole sacked. Perhaps you can confirm that ?

I'm going off the top of my head but so far hasn't he already gotten pretty close to his assist & goals tally from last season in the Championship?

He strikes me as a lad who is genuinely happy to be at United and will work hard to improve his game. I think he'll succeed - if he turns out to be "only" a very handy squad player then I'll be delighted. If he establishes himself as a long-term first teamer then even better!

His assist for Rashford against Liverpool is my favourite piece of play from him actually - more so than the couple of excellent goals he's scored (which I don't think are a regular feature of his game or his strongest asset, though I'd love to be wrong!).

Berba. I think you're right about the stats. We know about his pace but I think he's improved his general play too as well. Yes the assist v Liverpool was good. Exactly the kind of break we've been missing. Good pass for the goal at Norwich too.

Is he going to be a mainstay in a side that wins PLs and CLs? Jury is out on that but I do think at the worst he'll be an excellent squad player.

Janes has been great. My only issue is that he's a bit of a cheat with his diving.

we have needed to up our game in recent seasons.

back when we were the best, expected penalties per game was at an all time high of 31.

nowadays expected penalties is -11.... with the addition of james it has gone up to 2 expected penalties per game.

a couple more additions like that and we could see our expected and actual penalties per game rise to the heights of what once was...

seeing liverpool and city for expected and actual penalties, why else are they at the top of the league

If United ever get back to the top he will be a squad player for them, not a starter.

It's not even November in his first season at the club and you feel qualified to make that comment?

Okay.
