Mike is better at defending than both, but he’s useless on the ball which is all that matters these days for defenders supposedly. At least we have Jones and Rojo as back up.

That Smalling is considered surplus to requirements because he can't pass like Scholes really beggars belief.

Lindelof will never be as good a defender as Mike. He is too weak. And slow.

Ive thought Lindelof would be better suited at a DM role? Not saying he'd be a top one, far from it bit he lacks the basics from a top level DC?

I think it’s also that Mike isn’t willing to sit on the bench and wants a challenge if he isn’t going to be given a chance.

Shame Jones or Rojo don’t seem to feel the same.

Smalling is at least as good as Maguire - and I'm being kind to Maguire ......

... but lindelof is just bog average ...

..... which makes him virtually Baresi-esque compared to Rojo

Yep.

Poor defending for the goal but that was AWB, who is usually strong in those situations.

Whatever questions you have about your first team, you just have to wonder where the answer was ever Lindelof.
He's a Swedish Jones without the subtlety.

Jones is 10x the player Lindelof is, he just can’t stay fit so should be binned off

Lindelof has regressed from last season. I'd rather Tuanzebe and Smalling over him. Rojo and Jones need to move on and Bailly by join them. Injury is an issue with us. It's not just muscle injury. You could see Rashford came in for some rough treatment. We don't have the options as we do in other positions other than CB.

United are truly amazing. When you move a player on their form improves. When you sign a player their form falls off a fecking cliff. Truly astonishing.
