There's no way that this will be put on at the same time as the CWC. Even if people don't give a damn about the competition, for the EFL to put us in that situation it would be ridiculous and totally unreasonable. We've played a LC quarter final in January before, it will probably happen again unless they can find anywhere reasonable to squeeze it in beforehand.

Both crap comps anyway...the WCC is totally pointless and the league cup is a mick comp at best

Some of us little teams still value the league cup. If liverpool decide to give it a miss because its beneath them thats good for the rest of us

if the manager can't be there with the u18s/u23s theres no point. Critchley isn't up to it.

This is GROSSLY unfair of course but totally expected.

We have a prior engagement that can't be put off. It's highly unfair to then demand that we pull non existant players out of nowhere to play on the same day in two different continents.

For the record: 23 man squad must travel to world club championship. Assume lonergan goes that leaves 22. (ie everyone)
