Arsenal were rubbish last season as well but had an insanely lucky season at home.

None of the lightweight, fairweather supporters remotely understood how the club had, quite simply, the greatest manager of ordinary players the english top flight has ever seen.

No team has over-achieved (under a single manager/coach) as much as AFC did under Mr Wenger.

They did show some fight and energy today, but I lost track of the number of times that they gave the ball away. Probably looking at a 3-5 year re-building process. One commentator correctly noted today that the club does not even have a solid core of players to build a great team around. It is likely that most of today's starters will be gone in two years. Looks like a rebuilding job from top to bottom including the owners!

Not rubbish but you’ve lost (forced out) probably the greatest manager in your club’s history

What did you think would happen?

What a mess of a comment.
Mr Wenger was exceptional in his first 7 years, did a great job in difficult circumstances for the next 7, then found himself unable to step up.
The "ordinary players" he had in his last few seasons were ones he bought for big prices.
Simply put, Mr Wenger was not the right man for the job once the stadium repayments became more manageable and allowed us to spend.

You can't live off of success from 2 decades ago.

Wenger stayed 5 years too long

You've got enough to finish top 6 easily. You'll keep creating with you front line, your mid is weak though and any back line with Luiz in you're asking for trouble!
